“All Eyes on Shiest” shows why Pooh Shiesty remains one of street rap’s most compelling figures.

Pooh Shiesty’s All Eyes on Shiest has reached No. 1 on U.S. Apple Music (Kudos to Talk of the Charts for this info), and honestly, it’s a pretty wild reminder of just how much staying power this dude has.

For most of Pooh’s career, he’s had to make music while dealing with legal problems and time behind bars. Even with all of that, people still tune in when he drops. That says a lot about the connection he’s built with listeners.

After the massive success of Shiesty Season, Pooh was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison in 2022 after pleading guilty to a federal firearms conspiracy charge. He ultimately served roughly three years before being released in October 2025. Of course, “Back In Blood” with Lil Durk became the song that really pushed his profile into another stratosphere, but All Eyes on Shiest shows that his appeal clearly wasn’t some one-hit fluke.

The project is especially interesting because it arrived under Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records, a label he, to put it lightly, currently has some issues with. It features appearances from Sexyy Red, Tay Keith, BIG30, K Carbon, Baby Slime and others, while “FDO” has become one of the biggest records from the project. Pooh’s raw, menacing style remains the centerpiece.

And then there’s the elephant in the room. Pooh is currently in federal custody after being charged in connection with an alleged armed kidnapping and robbery involving Gucci Mane and others at a Dallas recording studio. Prosecutors say the incident stemmed from a dispute involving his recording contract. Pooh has pleaded not guilty.

Considering everything that has happened, seeing All Eyes on Shiest reach No. 1 is pretty damn surprising. Shiesty Season debuted with roughly 62,000 first-week units and eventually peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Now, even with another major legal situation hanging over him, people are still pressing play. There’s clearly something about Pooh Shiesty’s music that keeps pulling people back in.
