A mesmerizing alternative R&B track that gently leads you on an emotional journey of self-discovery.
Laz Lo is an alternative hip-hop/R&B artist with a unique style that refuses to be confined to one genre. His work is strongly influenced by his upbringing in Paris, which helped him develop his lyrical skills in both English and French.
Through his music, Laz aims to utilize ”Hip-Hop to lyrically expose the blissful ignorance of the ruling class, who in reality owes its lifestyle to the oppressed.”
Laz Lo’s latest drop is the three-track alternative R&B EP Homestretch. On Instagram, the artist said, “These songs were written across a year that quietly changed me—from Paris to New York, from familiar ground to somewhere newish, into a sound that felt like home. I wanted the EP to unfold as one continuous piece, each transition gently carrying the next, like one long transmission of cohesive sound…”
Delivering a mood-enhancing blend of atmospheric beats and mellow guitar, “Homestretch” creates an ear-pleasing, hypnotic backdrop that instantly immerses you into its dreamy, genre-blending sound. Lyrics like “We share the same things / Relation maintained / We came a long way” reflect on past relationships, lingering feelings, and new beginnings.
Fueled by its introspective, raw storytelling style and no shortage of emotionally stirring, nostalgia-infused elements, Laz Lo gifts us with a mesmerizing alternative R&B/soul track that gently leads you on an emotional journey of self-discovery. So press play and let the sounds of the artist’s new tune guide your way to what comes next.
