Travis Kelce “Speaks Now” On Wedding to Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce finally has something to say about his wedding to pop star Taylor Swift.

Yesterday morning, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce told reporters about the best part of his offseason: marrying pop superstar Taylor Swift.

“The wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us,” Travis said as he prepares for his 14th season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Kelce added that “it was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration,” according to Variety.

He told reporters it was his “childhood dream” to go to Madison Square Garden, where they tied the knot on July 3. “I always told myself I’d go for a playoff game when the Knicks were rocking. My wife went when I was stuck in training camp. I didn’t get my opportunity to go then.” Hopefully, Swift told Kelce all about the game after she sat courtside at the NBA Finals on June 10th.

“It was cool to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, and to be able to get married there. I thanked the owners of MSG for allowing us to have the opportunity to do that, knowing that we wanted a private event, and it was perfect.”

It’s pretty remarkable how private they managed to keep such a massive event, from strict NDAs to a no-phone policy. At the end of the ceremony, though, MSG’s signs announced that the couple was “JusT&T Married!”

Unlike in her song “The Lucky One,” Swift showed no desire to choose a rose garden over Madison Square Garden for the wedding, just the proposal.

I’m glad that the couple got to check getting married off their “Wi$h Li$t,” to quote Swift’s song from The Life of a Showgirl. Now, it seems as though we may know whose idea Madison Square Garden was.

I am very excited to finally have a little bit of information about the wedding. Aside from a few photos from outside the venue, it has been kept quite private. The one thing that I AM (admittedly impatiently) waiting for is any photo of Swift in her dress. Yes, I am happy that they were able to keep such a large event private, but the world (And especially the Swifties) need to see the dress she wore to begin her married life.

In the meantime, I was excited to see Swift debut a new haircut in her first outing since the wedding.
