Shoot, NBA YoungBoy might never come back to the States…

NBA YoungBoy is getting even more hands-on with his music. The rapper recently showed off the DIY home studio setup he created while living in South Korea and revealed that he has been engineering his own songs. While giving fans a look at the setup, YoungBoy pointed toward his recording booth and said, “That’s my booth I created,” before adding, “Why you actin’ like I need you?”

YoungBoy has been in the news lately after his interview with Funny Marco, where he revealed he doesn’t plan to move back to America. He also said he believes he only has one or two albums left in him and plans to release a new project in October.

The interview also touched on his relationship with his mother. YoungBoy said she hasn’t visited him in South Korea, though she later denied that claim, adding another chapter to their already complicated relationship.

As for the DIY studio, I just hope the engineering side of things doesn’t hurt the quality of his music. YoungBoy’s recordings already border on low quality sometimes, so I’d hate to see that become even more noticeable.

Still, being self-sufficient is never a bad thing. If he can get comfortable behind the boards, YoungBoy could have even more freedom to create whenever he wants. That means I would expect nothing less than five albums a week from him given his work ethic.
