Marco Lowrey does something I really appreciate: He makes music that feels genuinely true to who he is. His African culture and beliefs are an important part of that identity, and you can feel those influences throughout his latest single, “AWAY 3X.”
“AWAY 3X” features feel-good Afrofusion/Afro-R&B production that will have you searching for the nearest quiet beach. Seriously, imagine listening to this while watching the sunset with absolutely nothing on your schedule.
Lyrically, Marco focuses on wanting positive, feel-good energy around him while pushing negativity as far away as possible. It’s a simple message, but one that pretty much everybody can relate to. His soothing delivery and infectious melodies give the song an almost freeing quality that makes the message feel even more powerful.
What I enjoy most is how naturally everything comes together. Nothing feels forced. Marco sounds comfortable, confident, and completely at peace over the production. After listening to “AWAY 3X,” I genuinely feel like my soul just got a massage.
