Rio brings in artists who fit his world, including Boston Richey and Rylo Rodriguez, but he also widens the circle to include Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty, Monaleo, and, randomly, Tierra Whack. That lineup proves he understands versatility.

Rio is from Flint, Michigan, and much of the production carries the off-kilter bounce and hard knock associated with Michigan rap. However, his delivery occasionally lands between a Southern rapper’s wild energy and a Detroit artist’s conversational coolness. That combination gives him a distinct presence, even when the material feels familiar.

Lyrically, Rio does not uncover new territory. You get reckless threats, street tales, outrageous flexes, and punchlines that make you wonder whether laughing is morally acceptable. Still, his personality keeps those subjects entertaining.

The World Is Yours is a solid listen for anyone who appreciates hard-hitting trap production, unfiltered comedy, and gloriously reckless bars. It may not reinvent Rio Da Yung OG, but it celebrates everything his loyal fanbase already loves about him.
