Yes, the obvious thing to say is that BigXThaPlug and Belly Gang Kushington are two big boys whooping the competition. What impresses me more is that both built their names by handling business solo dolo. On “LITE,” they finally join forces, and the combination makes a whole lot of sense.

The beat is right in BigX’s wheelhouse: bass-heavy Southern production with a timeless feel and enough soul to keep the knock from sounding cold. He sets the tone immediately, calling out broke haters, flossing without apology, and celebrating the money he’s stacking after getting it out of the mud. His delivery has that familiar authority, like he’s been waiting for somebody to challenge a single word.

Still, Belly Gang Kushington walks away with my favorite verse. He sounds ridiculously comfortable on this beat, bringing the kind of cool confidence that makes a flex land harder than shouting ever could. I also loved how he addressed people thinking he was white, BTW. I’ma stop saying that now.
