Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” Earns Another No. 1 Week With 93K Units

Taylor Swift becomes the first soloist to spend 100 career weeks atop the Billboard 200.

Taylor Swift has officially turned another major Billboard projection into history.

The Life of a Showgirl remains at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after earning 93,000 equivalent album units during the latest tracking week. The final total exceeded the early estimate of approximately 87,000 units and secured the album’s 14th nonconsecutive week atop the chart. It has now moved 7.127 million units since its release.

That achievement also pushes Swift to a milestone no other solo artist has reached. She has now spent 100 career weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, officially becoming the first soloist in chart history to hit triple digits.

The Life of a Showgirl recently returned to the summit after Taylor released The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore. The expanded edition added “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon,” giving the original project enough new momentum to begin another run at the top.

What makes the result even more impressive is that the album did not simply hold on by matching expectations. It finished 6,000 units above its midweek projection while extending a commercial run that was already enormous.

Fourteen weeks at No. 1, more than seven million units, and 100 career weeks at the summit. Taylor Swift could probably record herself burping the alphabet, package it as a concept album, and still have Billboard preparing another plaque.
