Olivia Rodrigo Announces Her First Christmas Song, and I’m Thrilled

Olivia Rodrigo is really feeding fans this year, and I’m here for it.

Olivia Rodrigo has been busy this year. She released her best album yet (you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love). She’s released the songs “serena joy,” “expectations” with Chappell Roan, and her cover of “The Book of Love” with War Child Records. On top of all of this, she’s currently on The Unraveled Tour. And now, Olivia is releasing her first Christmas song: “take me home (4 christmas).”

We don’t know much about “take me home (4 christmas)” yet. We’ve only seen the cover art, which is adorable. I love Olivia’s Santa hat. If we are to assume that this is as good as the rest of her 2026 output, this will be one of the best Christmas songs released this year. Even if not, Olivia is a force to be reckoned with anyway. I don’t doubt that this will be a Christmas pop classic. Not on the level of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You,” of course, but still iconic, at least for plenty of us.

I love Christmas music. I don’t typically listen to it before Thanksgiving, but I’ve broken that rule for Hilary Duff’s Holiday Things and David Archuleta’s Warm Me Up. Even if I hadn’t for them, I absolutely would for Olivia Rodrigo. She is one of my favorite artists, and she’s been killing it this year. I am so ready for Livmas.
