I would’ve loved to hear a mixtape full of ‘Bang Bangs’ from Chief Keef on The Leek 6, but instead, you get music from the Chicago rapper that is experimental, heavy on the trap side, and quite frankly, plain ole bad… If you are a music fan, I encourage you to enjoy the journey that comes with listening to this tape, but keep in mind, this probably won’t be Illmatic 2. Peewee Longway (One of the greatest names in rap history) has been in the game for quite some time — so much so that he is on mixtape number 14! Interestingly enough, I think with the way the rap game is setup now, he has a great chance to succeed with this “State Of The Art” project. Earl Sweatshirt is back, folks! The Odd Future alum has decided to drop a brand new album called “Some Rap Songs” today, and based off of the few singles I’ve heard off of it, I expect bars, bars and more bars! I also expect him to touch on touchy topics like his famous father’s death and decision to take a hiatus from rap.
