Wale – Fish N Grits (Ft. Travis Scott) (Review & Stream)

Fish N Grits is supposedly Wale’s first single off of ‘Shine’, and I am not sure it is the most ‘first singlish’ first single he could’ve created.

By no means do I think this song is bad, but I think it is too dull to be a first single. Wale spits some real s–t on it, with some ‘Put some respect on name’ type lyrics, but it doesn’t quite match the tone of the record.

I have a mixed reaction to Travis Scott on this song: While he does give you something catchy, it sounds like 2-3 years ago Travis Scott to me.

This song is a bit weak …. It sounds like literally no one was in the studio together when they made it.

OVERALL RATING (3.8/5)
