Lil Kim continues to swing for the fences, ending up with strikeouts.
I like Lil Kim. I think she is an iconic hip hop figure, but for the last seven years, the music she’s been dropping hasn’t quite been the best. In her latest effort, a remix to her “Nasty One” track, she looks to redeem herself for the original version of the song, ultimately ending up successful. On it, Kranium delivers a nice little introduction that is heavy on the melodic-side, both Stefflon Don and HoodCelebrityy provide sassiness/authentic Caribbean vibes on their respective verses, while Kim strings everything together, delivering a pretty decent hook that has her crooning like a traditional reggae star. I think the track’s vibes are phenomenal, and the energy everyone provides is beyond solid.
Lil Kim is clearly studying how n***as are making music these days and taking notes, because I’ve seen that same single artwork she used on another song.
