Bleary Channels His Bluesy Side On “Weeknight (Sever, Pt. 3)”

WEEKNIGHT (SEVER, PT. 3)

Bleary

OVERALL RATING (????????)

“Weeknight (Sever, Pt. 3)” is easily Bleary’s most impressive song to date.

Bleary is one of those musicians that makes music that is powerful, meaningful, and refreshingly different. The last song that I rated by him, “Sever, Pt. I,” had me in my feelings and satisfied my rap cravings. “Weeknight (Sever, Pt. 3),” another gem off Bleary’s Bad Days album, does a great job of satisfying my blues cravings.

“Weeknight (Sever, Pt. 3)” features a soul-clenching hook, an emotional instrumental, Kid Cudi-Esque humming, unorthodox rap flows, and lyrics that will strike a chord with anyone that is struggling with loneliness, hopelessness, and endless pain. Personally, I love the passionate performance that Bleary puts up on the song. To me, it transcends music (BTW, I would love see a live performance of this song).
