There’s a level of brightness attached to “Aloof” that is captivating.
Trey Connor is an indie-pop/rock artist that has a really bright future. Not only does he have an outstanding voice, but the music that he makes tends to boast powerful lyrics. In a few weeks, Trey plans on releasing a brand new four-track EP that will mainly center around the ins and outs of mental health. The first single off of the EP is the impressive “Aloof.”
“Aloof” is powered by an invigorating pop-rock instrumental. Over it, Trey Connor lets his heart bleed, as, throughout the song, he sings both passionately and daringly about the struggles that come with forgetting an ex that meant a lot to you. Personally, I just love how Trey gets completely lost in the moment, making sure that his melodies stick and his words are felt.
