This might be 2022’s version of “I Get Around.”
Azizi Gibson has never really been on my radar. I do know that he’s been consistently dropping new music these last couple of years. Today, the German-born rapper decided to release “Hate To Say It,” a cold-hearted banger that features Twitter superstar Freddie Gibbs.
“Hate To Say It” isn’t for the Captain-Save-A-Chicks of the world. Over this hazy/jazzy beat, Azizi Gibson uses dynamic flows and a pretty calm tone to let us know that he is smashing all of his girl’s friends and not putting up with her s**t. As for Freddie Gibbs, in his verse on the song, he chooses to antagonize his foes and take the high road when it comes to talking about skeezers. All in all, this might be one of the harshest songs I’ve heard in a while.
