Kodak Black Keeps It Real In “I Wish”

RGM RATING (????????)

“I Wish” is definitely one of Kodak Black’s realest releases of the year.

Kodak Black’s last few days have been eventful: He got shot two Fridays ago, attended the Super Bowl two Sundays ago, cut his hair sometime last week, and has dropped a new single called “I Wish” today.

I’m not going to lie, I love it when Kodak Black raps about some real s**t in his music. In “I Wish,” over a flipped version of Ray J’s classic “One Wish” beat, he talks about everything from quitting drugs to holding his brothers down to finding happiness. Personally, I like how the Florida native uses his inside voice throughout the song (I think I’ve heard enough toxic rap songs in the last 24 hours).

Go ahead and give “I Wish” a shot below.
