Do you know what’s crazy? I rated a new Tory Lanez song before I rated this one. It’s almost like the whole Megan vs. Tory situation has become an unhealthy competition. If that’s the case, Tory probably won this round because “Sweetest Pie” isn’t my favorite track.
I think Megan Thee Stallion can rap her ass off; I just don’t love it when she hops on gimmicky pop records… “Sweetest Pie” is a gimmicky pop record. The song’s beat, lyrics, setup, and even name are cheesy, to me. Don’t get me wrong, I can see this song being perfect for overcrowded bars, but if you really pay close attention to it, it’s blah.
