On some real s**t, I turn on Khalid’s music when I want to hear something that is heartwarming. When you combine his hypnotizing voice with the spirited instrumentals that he tends to rely on, you end up with concoctions that just feel refreshing. Khalid decided to return to the music scene with “Satellite” this weekend.

In “Satellite,” Khalid sings about a shooting star that he can’t get out of his head. The song boasts this magical instrumental that prompts him to bring out his softest vocals and lushest melodies. While I like his verses a lot, I think the chorus is a little on the cheesy side. Nonetheless, “Satellite” is the perfect song to brighten up your mood.
