Kid Travis Is Craving “Company”

A pop tune that explores loneliness after a heartbreak.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based musical creative, Kid Travis, is a singer, songwriter, and producer who comes up often on our site. With plenty of passion for music, Travis doesn’t limit himself when it comes to genres; instead, he incorporates a wide variety of styles into his work. Travis’s original music and covers have received recognition from artists like Post Malone, Bryson Tiller, Rich Brian, and Dominic Fike. Some of the songs we’ve reviewed by him include “My Favorite Song,” “Diamonds,” and “i live with a ghost.” His discography is available on Spotify, YouTube, and SoundCloud. One of Kid Travis’s most recent drops is the pop single, “Company.” The song also has an accompanying lyric video.

The second the first beat drops, we’re thrown back in time to early 2010s pop shows making up tracks for us to sing along to. “Company,” while it is centered around what comes from being cut out of love, is such a vibe. It is impossible not to get stuck in your head. Lyrics like “Woah, babe, you just took a part of me” and “You cut me open, now it’s for the world to see / Even though you’re dead to me, girl, I still need your company” reflect on lingering desires for an ex-lover. There’s so much going on, and yet it doesn’t overwhelm us one bit. So, press play below to give yourself a little “Company.”
