Joey Bada$$ is such an old soul. The first time I heard him rap, which was when he was 17 years old, I actually thought he was a 37-year-old rapper that was intent on bringing back 90s hip-hop. While his music has aged like fine wine, Joey’s latest single actually sounds like some s**t a 38-year-old woman with several bills, three bad-ass kids, and a nice afro would enjoy.

Has Joey Bada$$ entered his neo-soul era? B*tch, he might have. In “Fallin’,” the New York rapper blesses us with soothing vocals that pair nicely with the song’s dreamy production and his romantically-euphoric lyrics. Don’t worry diehard Joey Bada$$ fans, he delivers a hard-hitting rap verse toward the end that has him sounding like a dude that would knock someone out in the name of love.
