I’m not going to lie; I am very impressed with all the things Lil Tecca has accomplished since emerging on the scene with “Ransom.” In other words, I thought he would be a one-hit wonder, but he has actually had a pretty lengthy career thus far.
Since 2019, Tecca has released an album every year besides 2022. He’s also dropped a bunch of solid solo singles and has collaborated with artists such as Ken Carson, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and more. To start the new year, the 21-year-old decided to drop the very chill “Down With Me.”
Lil Tecca may look like a 15-year-old but he has an old soul. The reason I say this is that he usually comes across like a dude with zero stress in his tracks. In “Down With Me,” Tecca sounds extra chill as he delivers smooth melodic raps that highlight his intentions of chasing money and reaching heights with his casual relationships. Though Tecca’s style of rapping is definitely dope to listen to, I think it’s the beat that is fire. That s**t has a nice knock but also these serene vibes that can lower blood pressure.
