It seems like it’s become trendy to dislike him, and if you happen to enjoy his work, you’re seen as uncool. But let’s be real: DDG has a lot of money, so don’t feel too sorry for him. Anywho, recently, he dropped a new single titled “Going To The Top.”
In “Going To The Top,” DDG boasts about his hard work and accomplishments while cautioning against distractions like romantic entanglements. He also does a lot of laughing at his weak-ass competition. Though DDG drops some interesting advice, I only took some notes here and there.
I believe this song’s standout feature is its smooth, bass-booming beat. As for DDG, his delivery rides on a somewhat repetitive yet strangely catchy melody. While I don’t love the song’s overall sound, it’s tolerable enough to listen to.
