Pharrell & Miley Cyrus Link Up For “Doctor (Work It Out”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Whenever I witness Pharrell collaborating with a white female singer, “Everyone Nose” springs to mind. If you know, you know. Nevertheless, I genuinely believe that the renowned producer from Virginia meshes excellently with white female singers. Let’s not forget that he played a pivotal role in rejuvenating Gwen Stefani’s career and produced one of Britney Spears’ most prominent hits. Today, Pharrell surprised us with a dance anthem he crafted alongside Miley Cyrus titled “Doctor (Work It Out).”

In “Doctor (Work It Out),” Miley Cyrus asserts that she holds the ideal remedy for healing a broken heart, suggesting that a dose of herself is the solution. While the song is filled with witty medical-themed lyrics, it doesn’t delve into intricate medical terminology like epidurals or similar references.

In terms of style, this song excels in its simplicity. It features a straightforward, upbeat dance beat with a hint of mischief. Miley Cyrus’ performance truly brings the beat to life. I admire how she effortlessly transitions between a calm demeanor and vibrant energy, showcasing that the most effective medical treatments often blend sweetness with a touch of spice.

Miley Cyrus has a great voice.
