Ace Kang Is An “Ego Killa”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Ace Kang is tired of the snakes of the world.

Ace Kang is a real one. Yes, he picks some really dope beats to slide on, but he also knows how to keep it 99+1 lyrically. In many of his tracks, especially on his Beautiful Memories EP, Ace delivers meaningful verses. One of the best tracks from the project is “Ego Killa.”

In “Ego Killin,” Ace delivers a powerful message about the presence of snakes in the world. He skillfully portrays the actions of these deceptive individuals, highlighting how they fail to support their friends when needed, and contrasts this with his own actions of loyalty and commitment towards his woman, both emotionally and physically. Ace’s authenticity shines through as he denounces hypocrisy and emphasizes the importance of genuine connections.

As much as I love the lyrics Ace Kang delivers in this track, I think I like how the song sounds the most. “Ego Killa” is driven by this extra sly beat that I wouldn’t mind cruising down route one listening to. Because of this backdrop, we get to hear infectious melodies, a killer flow, and a confident delivery from Kang. S**t is a vibe.
