Russ Helps A Rebounder in the Fun-Filled “Fendi Bucket”

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

This is Russ’ best release this year.

There was a time when new music from Russ was a rare treat, but those days are long gone. In recent years, he’s been incredibly consistent, sometimes dropping a new track every week. The best part? He effortlessly switches between rapping and singing in many of them, showcasing his versatility.

While it’s tough to gauge which Russ tracks have truly made a mark on the hip-hop scene, as streaming numbers don’t always paint the full picture, I believe his latest release, “Fendi Bucket,” is poised to break through.

Lately, Russ hasn’t been the most optimistic, often reflecting on family issues in his music. However, “Fendi Bucket” is a refreshing change of pace. With an upbeat, bouncy beat that nods to Bow Wow and Omarion’s classic “Let Me Hold You Down,” Russ raps about being ready to upgrade a woman who didn’t get the love and respect she deserved from her ex. I love that he maintains a consistent flow throughout, with just a hint of singing. Overall, the track is catchy, playfully gimmicky in the best way, and a lot of fun to listen to.
