Key Glock Keeps It Simple on “Go”

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Key Glock raps like how Brandon Ingram plays basketball. If you’re a hoops fan, you know exactly what I’m talking about.

One thing about Key Glock is that he genuinely feels like someone who raps strictly because he loves doing it. His releases rarely come with huge rollouts or over-the-top theatrics. They just sort of appear out of nowhere, almost like he woke up, recorded something, and casually tossed it onto streaming services before breakfast. Last night, Glock returned with a new single called “Go.”

The track is powered by a bass-heavy instrumental that carries a vintage video game feel. It honestly sounds like something you would hear while selecting characters before a boss battle. Lyrically, Glock sticks to familiar territory, rapping about standing on business, chasing money, and carrying an ice-cold mentality.

The hook is repetitive, but it does its job by sticking in your head after a couple of listens. Vocally, Glock sounds especially laid-back here, almost like he recorded the song immediately after waking up from a power nap. The track is not bad by any means, but it does feel a little uneventful overall.
