Bryson Tiller probably should’ve ducked Taylor Swift week…

Bryson Tiller’s Solace & The Vices is officially set to debut at #45 on the Billboard 200, moving an estimated 15,000 units in its first week. While that might sound modest compared to some of his past releases, it still marks an impressive milestone — his sixth charting album to date.

To put things in perspective, Trapsoul opened with 22K units, his self-titled Bryson Tiller album brought in 39K, Anniversary landed at 57K, and True to Self debuted with a massive 107K. So yes, Solace & The Vices might be a quieter entry commercially, but it’s still a meaningful one — especially considering how saturated the release calendar has been.

A few tracks from the project have already started to gain traction, including “I Need Her,” “Strife,” and “No Contest.” These songs capture that classic Tiller mix of moody melodies, late-night introspection, and emotionally charged production that longtime fans love. While the album might not have made a huge first-week splash, it’s quickly becoming one of those slow-burning projects that grow with time.

And let’s be honest — any artist dropping the same week as Taylor Swift is basically walking into a streaming thunderstorm. Add in minimal marketing and Bryson’s famously low-key rollout style, and the numbers make perfect sense.
