CyHi The Prynce Drops Lyrical Fire on “B.R.A Lost Control”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

I don’t think any rapper in the game wants problems with CyHi…

CyHi The Prynce has long built a reputation as one of hip-hop’s most precise lyricists. On “B.R.A Lost Control,” he continues that trend, pairing dramatic, cinematic production with a flow that’s impregnable, twisting through punchlines and clever internal rhymes with agility.

The track’s standout moments see CyHi taking aim at J. Cole, touching on the Kendrick Lamar apology, his “Trunk Sale” tour, and old disses toward Kanye West on “False Prophets.” He also throws some unexpected jabs at SAINt JHN, which is sure to catch folks off guard (It definitely did for me). Beyond the headline-grabbing punches, CyHi blends personal reflection, storytelling, and clever wordplay, crafting a layered, dynamic track that grows richer with each listen.

Listeners will naturally focus on the disses, but CyHi’s technical skill on this track is genuinely impressive. Do I wish his delivery had a bit more energy? Sure—he probably just needed some coffee. Beyond that, though, the performance left me thoroughly impressed.
