YG and Ty Dolla $ign Reunite for Smooth New Track “TEACH YOU HOW TO LUH ME”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Sixteen years later, and they still haven’t missed together.

YG and Ty Dolla $ign have built a strong history of collaborations, representing Los Angeles with a chemistry that’s hard to replicate. I was first introduced to their connection through “Toot It And Boot It,” a track that sounds worlds away from where they are today. Fast forward over a decade, and the duo is still in sync, this time linking up for “TEACH YOU HOW TO LUH ME.”

“TEACH YOU HOW TO LUH ME” leans heavily into nostalgia, borrowing elements from the classic “Teach Me How To Dougie” by Cali Swag District. From the flipped chorus to familiar production touches, it creates a foundation that feels both recognizable and refreshed.

Lyrically, YG and Ty Dolla $ign explore relationship dynamics, focusing on understanding and connection in their own unfiltered way. YG delivers raw, unapologetic verses, even diving into storytelling about complicated situations involving trust and loyalty. Meanwhile, Ty Dolla $ign handles the melodic side, bringing smooth vocals, a catchy chorus, and well-placed adlibs that elevate the overall vibe.

At the end of the day, “TEACH YOU HOW TO LUH ME” is one of those relatable relationship tracks that has a dope vibe. We need more of these.
