Action Bronson and Roc Marciano Get Extra Gritty on “PEPPERS”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

What the hell is Action Bronson talking about?

Action Bronson has always rapped like someone who eats five-star meals and threatens people in the same breath. Whether he’s cooking, wrestling, or dropping albums filled with left-field bars, he has carved out one of the more unique lanes in hip-hop. With PLANET FROG dropping Friday, Bronson is back with another preview called “PEPPERS,” featuring Roc Marciano.

The track runs on a cool, midnight-like beat with a smooth tempo that feels built for dimly lit drives through questionable neighborhoods. Bronson approaches it with a more subdued delivery, practically putting his head down while tossing out weirdly entertaining threats, fly talk, and bars that make him sound a shakier doctor than Phil.

Roc Marciano slides in naturally, sounding gritty as hell while rapping like he has a hoodie tightened over his face. His verse leans into slick storytelling, casually talking about taking women who are not his while making the whole thing sound serious as hell.

The hook is catchy without trying too hard, and honestly, the entire track carries that same laid-back but dangerous energy throughout. I like it.
