Don Toliver’s “OCTANE” Surpasses One Million Units Sold in the United States

Prior to Friday, Don Toliver was running away with the hip-hop artist of the year award.

According to Chart Data, Don Toliver’s OCTANE has officially surpassed one million total units sold in the United States. The project is now the first hip-hop album released in 2026 to reach that milestone.

The elephant in the room is this: There’s a good chance that Don Toliver’s album will be surpassed by Drake’s ICEMAN very soon, and based on everything it has already accomplished, I won’t argue with anyone who says Drake is the hip-hop artist of the year. However, there’s something very refreshing about Don Toliver’s approach to everything surrounding OCTANE.

The album includes tracks such as “E85,” “Body,” and “Tiramisu,” which helped maintain streaming momentum throughout the year. Unlike many large-scale rap releases, OCTANE kept its guest appearances relatively limited. Features came from Teezo Touchdown, Travis Scott, Yeat, Rema, and SahBabii.

Travis Scott and Don Toliver are the biggest one-two punch in hip-hop right now, right?
