Jennaske & Benny The Butcher Explore Relationship Tension On “LOVE/HATE”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The artwork to this track is sick as hell.

Jennaske continues to make a strong case for herself as one of the most promising rising rappers around, and “LOVE/HATE” might be her most complete release yet. Teaming up with Benny The Butcher, she delivers a track that examines how love and frustration can coexist within the same relationship.

The production does a fantastic job of setting the mood. Driven by hard drums and a soulful sample that somehow feels both warm and eerie, the beat creates the perfect backdrop for the song’s emotional push and pull. Lyrically, Jennaske and Benny trade perspectives on a relationship filled with luxury, attraction, arguments, and mistrust.

Jennaske brings plenty of personality to the track, flowing with confidence and precision while keeping the listener locked into every word. Benny complements her perfectly, using his calm yet authoritative delivery to give the song additional weight. Together, they create believable chemistry that makes the conversation feel authentic.

The biggest strength of “LOVE/HATE” is its focus. The concept never gets lost, the hook is memorable, and both artists stay committed to the theme throughout. I was very impressed by what I heard.
