Olivia Rodrigo’s “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” Sets 2026 Spotify Streaming Record

Every track on Olivia’s new project has more than 300k streams after a single day.

Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love has officially become the most streamed album by a female artist in a single day on Spotify in 2026. It’s another reminder that when she drops, the entire platform feels it.

The numbers are absurd. While singles “the cure” and “drop dead” already carried massive momentum with 90+ million and 200+ million streams respectively, the full album surge went even further. Every track on the 13-song project crossed at least 300,000 streams within a day.

This is Olivia’s first album since GUTS, and it arrives with a sharper, more focused rollout. The only guest appearance comes from Robert Smith, which adds an unexpected layer of contrast to an otherwise tightly controlled pop project.

What makes this moment even more interesting is timing. With summer approaching, the album is already positioning itself as a strong contender for unofficial soundtrack of the season. The replay value is clearly there, and early streaming behavior suggests listeners are already looping the entire tracklist instead of cherry-picking singles.

I’m so glad that respect is being put on Olivia’s name.
