Busta Rhymes & Heavy-K Celebrate Knicks Title On “The Championship Anthem”

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Is there a city better than New York at making anthems?

With the New York Knicks fresh off their championship run, winning their first title since 1973, the city is buzzing. That’s a big deal when you consider how many legendary musical acts the city has produced. One of those legends is Busta Rhymes, and he’s celebrating the moment with a new single called “The Championship Anthem.”

Heavy-K brings his signature style to the production, creating a track with a suspenseful build-up, booming energy, and a payoff worthy of a championship celebration. Busta approaches the record with plenty of enthusiasm, delivering a loose and amped-up performance. The hook proudly celebrates the Knicks’ title victory, while the verses highlight the team’s grit and willingness to go toe-to-toe with any opponent. If I’m Wemby and them, I listen to the track with my fist clenched.

When my Washington Wizards win the 2028 NBA Championship, I can’t wait to see Wale and company perform. I’m already mentally preparing myself for it.
