Drake Earns His 32nd Billion-Stream Song With “Wants and Needs”

Once you take a step back and realize what Drake is actually doing, it’s honestly mind-blowing.

Another day, another billion-stream milestone for Drake. This time, “Wants and Needs,” his collaboration with Lil Baby, has officially crossed one billion streams on Spotify, becoming the 32nd song in Drake’s catalog to achieve the feat.

The record quickly became a fan favorite upon its release through Scary Hours 2. Built around booming production and an unforgettable chorus, the song showcases both artists at their best. Drake balances confidence with effortless melodies, while Lil Baby delivers one of the track’s defining moments through his energetic and technically polished verse.

Drake is one of the few rappers with many different styles of billion-stream tracks. He has the dance tracks like “One Dance” and “Passionfruit,” while he also has the commercial hits like “God’s Plan” and “Headlines” that made an impact. Out of all of the tracks with a billi, though, it’s “Wants and Needs” that falls in that category of one of his tougher rap records to reach the milestone.

I’m sure “Wants and Needs” will be joined by a few more billion-stream tracks, including “Janice STFU.”
