That was quick… Roc Nation doesn’t play at all.

JAŸ-Z fans may want to hold off on celebrating because Roc Nation has seemingly shut down the latest report about Hov’s next album.

Ray Daniels recently claimed that JAŸ-Z’s new album was officially done. Daniels said the project had been completed and suggested that the only thing stopping it from being released was JAŸ-Z finding the right partnership.

But Roc Nation isn’t exactly backing up that story.

The company responded through Instagram Stories, posting the “‘Album done’” claim before adding, “Fake news.” It’s about as direct as a response can get, and it puts Daniels’ report in serious doubt.

Still, you can understand why people believed the rumor. JAŸ-Z is already having a monster year, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt with major performances, including three shows at Yankee Stadium. He also has performances coming up in London and Los Angeles.

Then there are the little signs. JAŸ-Z has been making many public appearances, is boasting a new look, and his verse on Beyoncé’s “Morning Dew” remix only gave fans more to talk about. When you combine all of that with how long it has been since 4:44, people are naturally going to speculate.

For now, though, Roc Nation has spoken. The album may still be coming, but “Album done” is apparently “Fake news.” Hov fans, unstrap those seatbelts, it might be a while…
