Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats are officially opening the door to another chapter of their acclaimed collaboration.

Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats are officially bringing UNLOCKED back. After teasing fans with cryptic posts, the duo has now confirmed that UNLOCKED 2 is coming August 21.

The two previously had fans wondering if another chapter was on the way after sharing a video of themselves walking through the mountains while talking about legacy, reaching their goals, and building something that lasts. Now, we have a full project announcement, a release date, and an idea of what the tracklist will look like.

Denzel Curry and Kenneth Blume, better known as Kenny Beats, also revealed that UNLOCKED 2 will contain nine tracks and feature JPEGMAFIA, Westside Gunn, and Yebba. The first single from project, “DIFFERENCES” with Yebba, is out now.

This is a pretty big deal considering how well Denzel and Kenny worked together on UNLOCKED in 2020. They followed it with UNLOCKED 1.5 in 2021, which reimagined songs from the original project and featured Benny The Butcher, Joey Bada$$, Smino, The Alchemist, and more. That original collaboration became one of the most memorable producer-rapper pairings of its era.

Denzel has remained busy since then, most recently releasing Strictly 4 The Schythe, while Kenny Beats has continued making noise behind the boards, including his work on Rico Nasty’s RX. Now, the two are officially back together, and UNLOCKED 2 is only days away. Make sure you put your PTO requests in now.
