In “Pinnacles,” Hanna Andréa unpacks a universal experience in a unique way.
We can all relate to the feeling of chasing unattainable “perfection.” We know that it’s impossible, but we try anyway. This is the subject of “Pinnacles”: Hanna Andréa’s constant race to reach the impossible pinnacles of success, quality, and appearance.
Something that I’m drawn to is how Andréa describes what it would feel like to stop running toward the perfection that she craves. Rather than feeling relieved, she says it would feel like falling, and she needs to feel the rush of running toward these pinnacles.
At the same time, she describes perfection itself as pain. She says that if it were a place, it would be a prison, and that her run is leading her toward the pain of perfection. In this song, the positives and negatives switch. Scrolling through endless positive comments is frustrating, while the run is what she needs to be feeling. When it’s all said and done, “Pinnacles” follows a universally relatable concept, but one that feels especially timely in 2026.
Overall, I really liked this song. The heavy lyrics combined with a very catchy melody made for a solid listen. You can watch the video for “Pinnacles” below.
