There’s nothing like falling in love when the weather starts to heat up, even if both of y’all are sticky.
Tarang Joseph is the definition of an artist who has “It.” Yes, he can sing, but it’s his swagger, confidence, and energy that make his music so damn listenable. He also has a knack for channeling older generations of music and bringing those sounds back in a way that feels fresh. In “summerlovin,” Tarang shines by doing exactly what he does best.
The song captures how different it feels to fall in love during the summer, when smiles seem bigger, connections feel stronger, and everything carries a little more urgency. The production is bombastic, blending soul, funk, R&B, and even touches of rock distortion into something that feels timeless without sounding stuck in another era. As for Tarang, his vocals bring the right mix of passion and coolness, while his melodies are extremely infectious. If you’re a fan of prime Bruno Mars, this is one of those tracks you need to listen to.
As the third and final single before Tarang’s sophomore EP, this feels like a strong way to close the chapter and leave listeners wanting more from what comes next.
