Drake is living life right now.

Drake might have another remix cooking. In a video that recently circulated online, the rapper was spotted behind a DJ booth slowly bobbing along as a DJ played a verse he apparently recorded for Ella Langley’s megahit “Choosin’ Texas.” The audio is a little difficult to make out, but you can clearly hear Drake using Ella’s melody, while the instrumental appears to have a slightly more R&B feel.

This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise because Drake has made it pretty obvious that he’s a big fan of Ella Langley. Over the past few weeks, he’s shown her his love in several ways. He attended one of her shows in Arkansas, took photos with her, and even complimented her pen on an Instagram post.

Now, he appears to be giving her one of the biggest compliments a young artist can get: He’s remixing her song.

I think it’s pretty cool to see Drake jumping into a country crossover like this, especially considering how casually he seems to be approaching collaborations these days. He’s clearly in a do-whatever-I-want mode right now, and we should all applaud that.

Drake has already had a pretty eventful year, and a surprise “Choosin’ Texas” remix would only add another interesting chapter to it. If this actually drops, I’m definitely curious to hear what he does with it.
