It is only fitting that Migos close out their legendary run with “Culture IV.“

Just when it seemed like the Migos story had reached its final chapter, Quavo flung that weak-ass bookmark and reopened the book.

The Atlanta star says a new Migos album will arrive in 2027, and the plans apparently extend beyond the recording studio. “We’re gonna do it one more time,” Quavo revealed. “We’re gonna do it right; we’re gonna tour.”

Right now, very little about the project has been confirmed. There is no official title, tracklist, or release date, and Quavo did not clarify how involved Offset will be. As for Takeoff, it is expected that his unreleased vocals will be incorporated into the album.

Migos’ previous album, Culture III, was released in 2021. During their run, Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff developed one of hip-hop’s most recognizable formulas, combining dynamic flows, perfectly timed ad-libs, and unstoppable hooks. Let’s also not forget: They invented the dab, which crossed over to even the white community at one point.

Will a Migos album without Takeoff feel normal? Not at all. He was such an underrated yet essential piece of the trio. However, it would forever rub us the wrong way if such a legendary hip-hop group never got its series finale. We should all be excited about this announcement.
