“The Encore” has given Taylor Swift’s blockbuster album enough momentum to reclaim the Billboard 200.

Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl is expected to reclaim the Billboard 200’s top position following the arrival of The Encore.

An early projection from Nora Music has the album earning approximately 178,000 equivalent units during the current tracking week. If that estimate holds, The Life of a Showgirl will collect its 13th nonconsecutive week at No. 1.

The impressive part is how quickly the outcome became clear. First-day activity reportedly provided enough support to secure the top position, demonstrating the enormous demand surrounding Taylor’s deluxe release.

The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore expands the original album with four tracks: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.” All four songs immediately dominated Spotify’s global chart. “Patient Zero” entered at No. 1 with 13.709 million streams, while its three companions debuted directly behind it.

That streaming takeover was accompanied by strong platform activity elsewhere. The Encore reached No. 1 on U.S. iTunes and Apple Music, while “Patient Zero” also took over the top position on the American iTunes songs chart.

The Life of a Showgirl originally arrived in October 2025 and spent 12 weeks atop the Billboard 200. Nearly one year later, Taylor has seemingly transformed four additional songs into another dominant week.

Some deluxe editions gently revive an album. The Encore apparently arrived with jumper cables, a new battery, and enough fuel to retake No. 1.
