Don Toliver Submits “OCTANE” for Major 2027 Grammy Awards

Don Toliver’s reported Grammy campaign places ‘OCTANE,’ “E85,” and “BODY” across eight categories.

Don Toliver is swinging for nearly every Grammy fence available with his reported campaign for the 69th Annual Grammy Awards.

Showbiz by PS reports that OCTANE was submitted for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album. Before anybody begins planning a victory speech, these entries are merely submissions for consideration. They are not nominations, and Recording Academy voters must still decide which releases make the official field.

“E85” carries the heaviest workload. Don’s album opener was entered into the categories of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song. The campaign places one record in two general-field races and two rap categories, reflecting its combination of melodic vocals, distorted guitars, and hip-hop production.

Meanwhile, “BODY” was reportedly submitted for Best Rap Performance. The song became one of OCTANE’s early standouts, making it a logical choice for the more performance-focused category.

Then there is Best New Artist. Don has been releasing prominent records and appearing beside major artists for years, so that submission will probably leave plenty of people scratching their heads. Eligibility is ultimately determined by the Recording Academy, meaning his team can submit him without guaranteeing that he reaches the ballot.

OCTANE arrived in January with 18 songs and appearances from Yeat, Rema, Travis Scott, Teezo Touchdown, and SahBabii. Don may or may not secure several nominations, but his team has ensured Grammy voters will see his name repeatedly.
