Bijan delivers a raw, atmospheric track that turns the search for purpose into an urgent emotional release.
Does Bijan give anybody else chills, or is it just me? Her voice has personality for days, and her musical ambition makes listening feel like an experience. “HIGH BEAM” gives us both, with the LA singer-songwriter sounding completely invested in every moment.
The production combines raw piano with spacey, atmospheric textures that make your bedroom feel ready for liftoff. It starts intimately, giving her voice room to breathe, before an urgent, all-or-nothing hook raises the emotional stakes. Somebody should’ve told me to buckle up.
Bijan delivers loose, unrestrained vocals that make it feel like she’s pouring everything out. Lyrically, she’s searching for inspiration, clarity, and purpose while struggling to see the road ahead. She feels lost, but there’s still hope that something bigger is waiting. Her delivery makes that uncertainty feel personal.
I hear a little SZA and Jessie Reyez in the emotional intensity, and I don’t make those comparisons lightly. Still, let’s not shortchange Bijan. This is her world; we just blasted off into it.
