Drake Reportedly Likes Pat McAfee’s Ella Langley Halftime Suggestion

The connection between “Solar Eclipse” and “Choosin’ Texas” gives McAfee’s crossover idea a musical foundation.

Drake has noticed Pat McAfee’s latest halftime suggestion, and it involves Ella Langley, Thanksgiving football, and “Solar Eclipse.”

McAfee and his co-hosts want the rapper to join Langley for a holiday performance. The idea has a musical foundation: “Solar Eclipse,” featuring Don Toliver, incorporates elements of her hit “Choosin’ Texas.”

Drake liked a repost of the discussion on Instagram. That’s enough to spark speculation, but it doesn’t tell us whether he wants to participate or whether any arrangements exist.

The report also identifies Langley as a Thanksgiving halftime performer. That booking’s specific game remains unverified here, and it shouldn’t be presented as the Cowboys show, which has officially announced Miranda Lambert.

Let’s be real: this would be vicious. Moving from Langley’s original into Drake’s interpretation could make for a fun moment, especially with a crowd that might not expect the crossover.

What I wouldn’t do is turn an Instagram interaction into evidence of a surprise performance. I mean, how could it be a surprise if he’s hinting at it, right?

For now, McAfee has offered the suggestion, and Drake has reportedly shown interest. The actual performance remains hypothetical. It’s an entertaining possibility, but I strongly doubt it will happen.
