Stream Curren$y & Wiz Khalifa’s “How Fly” Mixtape

I love living in a world where Curren$y and Wiz are friends again! They are currently on tour together, bringing back vibes from my college years one city at a time. In “How Fly,” their classic joint mixtape together, I look to get more nostalgic feels from them, and hopefully second hand highs, too.  (more…)

Stream Stalley’s “Human”

We tend to forget how nice of a rapper Stalley is. His wisdom-filled bars always hit a chord with me, especially when it’s sandwiched in-between the reckless/savage bars you get from Ross and Meek when they all collaborate together. In “Human,”the Cleveland, OH native does s**t all by his lonesome, dropping six hot ass tracks that you have no choice but to feel. (more…)

Stream Q Da Fool’s “Bad Influence”

Q Da Fool feels like a rapper that has next. Maybe I’m gassing him up because he’s from the DMV, or perhaps I’m in need of some new blood in the hip-hop game. Whatever the case may be, I f**k with his grungy style of rapping, and think this six track EP (That features production by Kenny beats) might very well turn heads.  (more…)

Stream AZ’s “Legacy” Album

While you were asleep last night, the legendary AZ dropped a brand new album called “Legacy.” It’s his first project in ten years, so as a listener, expect pent up bars, perfected raps and nothing but the coldest of New York vibes. “Legacy” features Styles P, Nas & Joe Budden.

Fred Da Godson and Joell Ortiz are two New York rappers Tory Lanez doesn’t want smoke with. Especially if they are allowed to spit over dope ass beats like the ones you hear on this album. Aw man, I’m getting excited about rap again!

Summer Walker’s tales of love, heartbreak and everything in-between has been catching the attention of music lovers for the last couple of weeks now. Stream Jae Millz’s “Pay Attention, It’s Free”

Jae Millz isn’t anywhere near a rapper I am interested in listening to, but with the way he killed Ness on that one freestyle battle on Making The Band 2, that n***a deserves 20 years of guaranteed play-counts from me. (more…)

Stream Dreezy’s “Big Dreez” Album

Dreezy is apart of a new wave of super-talented female rappers in the game. She can sing well, rap fantastically, and most importantly, connect with the hood in a way that seems genuine/non-plastic. In her latest offering, “Big Dreez,” she proves her worth to the world, gifting us with a body of work that isn’t only versatile, but pretty star-studded (It features guest appearances by Offset, Jacquees, Jeremih and more), too. People definitely f**k with Dreezy, and this album will show you why. (more…)

Back in the day, DJ Kay Slay used to annoy the s**t out of me when I heard his voice on all of those bootleg rap songs. Well, these days, the New York DJ prefers to play the back, opting to release music both legally and voice-free. In Hip Hop Frontline, Kay Slay was able to create a body of work that blends authentic old school rap music with the carefree/explosive ones you hear today. The end result is sixteen tracks of straight fire! (more…)

Boogie – Everything’s For Sale (Album Review)

Boogie’s time being a little-known rapper in the game should come to an end tonight. With the release of “Everything’s For Sale,” not only do I expect to hear high praise from hip-hop fans once they listen to his highly intelligent bars, but I also expect a Wikipedia page to finally be put up for him. (Seriously, dude was in a Snickers commercial with the legendary Elton John, what else does he have to do to get a f**king Wikipedia page put up for him?) (more…)
