Swae Lee hasn’t quite lived up to the lofty expectations I placed on him after I heard his hook on French Montana’s Unforgettable hit. Whatever the case may be, Cap Backwards, the Rae Sremmurd rapper’s latest single, might be the song that puts him back on a road to success!
Cap Backwards features a sensual/islandy instrumental, angelic singing and cooler than a cucumber lyrics by Swae Lee, and a very dynamic verse by Nicki Minaj in which she comes across like a boss b*tch that is both violent and money-hungry. In other words, Cap Backwards sounds random as f**k!
Are Swae Lee and Nicki Minaj hip-hop’s version of Kobe and Shaq?
