The Kid LAROI & Lil Yachty Unite For “HATRED”

Rating: 4 out of 5.

It has become mandatory to release a deluxe project. Here’s the thing, though: I do not believe every album warrants a deluxe project. One that I do is The Kid LAROI’s THE FIRST TIME project. I feel like the project was missing something, so why not add a few tracks to it that showcase his full artistic skills? The good news is that I will get my wish because it should be coming soon. The first single from the forthcoming project is “Hatred” with Lil Yachty.

For those who believe The Kid LAROI is only a pop artist, it’s worth noting that his music initially leaned towards hip-hop. “Hatred” serves as a reminder of this transition. The track features a dramatic and celebratory hip-hop beat, with LAROI delivering some of his most intense vocals as he expresses his disdain for a troublesome partner. Lil Yachty also contributes briefly, maintaining LAROI’s vibe with his own laid-back rap style. Overall, “Hatred” represents a return to LAROI’s hip-hop roots and is one of his more aggressive releases in recent times.

Why add Lil Yachty to this track? Even in the text exchange, it sounds like he doesn’t want to be on it.
