Chance The Rapper is in the running for Comeback Player of the Year. After facing heavy criticism for The Big Day, he’s come back with a vengeance this year, swinging hard with impressive new releases and proving he’s far from done.

So far in 2024, we’ve been treated to three very impressive singles from Chance The Rapper: “Stars Out,” “Together,” and “Buried Alive.” In each of these tracks, he showcases the rap skills that made us fall in love with his music. His latest single, “Bad Boys 2,” featuring Joey Purp, further solidifies that Chance is truly back and better than ever.

Out of all the tracks I mentioned, “Bad Boys 2” is undeniably the hardest. In the track, which is powered by an action-packed beat full of heavy thumps and exuberant horns, Joey Purp delivers a ferocious verse about his relentless mindset and all the wins he’s racked up. Chance The Rapper follows with a playful yet aggressive rap style, speaking on his boss status and the love he receives in his city of Chicago. He also mentions enjoying Miami, which ties into the “Bad Boys 2” title. While the track might seem like something slight, it definitely showcases Chance’s ability to go off on a beat.
