Elon Musk Unfollows Kanye West Amid Controversial Twitter/X Rants

When Mr. Free Speech unfollows you, you must be doing something wrong.

Kanye West is currently in the middle of one of the most unhinged social media meltdowns in recent memory—one that shows no signs of stopping. Over the past several days, Ye has taken aim at a wide range of targets, including Jewish people, fellow rappers, politicians, and even comedian Dave Chappelle. His chaotic rant has left many calling for someone to take away his phone, as the situation continues to escalate.

Now, Elon Musk has made a notable move by unfollowing Kanye on X (formerly Twitter). The billionaire, who has largely positioned himself as a free speech advocate, appears to be distancing himself from Ye’s increasingly controversial rhetoric. Musk’s decision follows a wave of high-profile unfollows from figures like Travis Scott and Tyler, The Creator, signaling that even those in Ye’s circle are growing weary of his behavior.

Elon Musk Has Had Enough Of Ye

Interestingly, throughout his latest rants, Kanye has both praised Musk for allowing him to post freely and taken subtle jabs at him. This puts Musk in a difficult position—while he has expressed opposition to banning accounts as past Twitter leadership did, there comes a point where even he may have to draw a line.

With Kanye’s tirades still ongoing, the question remains: will Musk take further action, or will he continue to allow Ye to dominate the platform unchecked?
